Julia is the Founder and Editor of Madame Architect where she has published to date more than 30 interviews with women in the field. She is currently working in business development at FXCollaborative, with prior experience in both design and communications. She has been a contributor to ArchiteXX's Sub_teXXt for the past four years, is the Co-Chair of ULI New York’s Young Leaders Group (YLG) Communications Committee, is on the AIANY Women in Architecture Committee, and is a Founding Member of The Wing. Julia received her Bachelor of Architecture at Cornell University, graduating with the Charles Goodwin Sands Memorial Medal for exceptional merit in the thesis of architecture. Nicole Dosso is a Technical Director in SOM’s New York office, having joined the firm in 1998. A recognized expert in the technical challenges and solutions associated with the design of tall buildings in complex urban contexts, Nicole has extensive project experience that includes work on SOM’s key projects at the World Trade Center site: 7 World Trade Center and One World Trade Center. Nicole was honored both by Professional Women in Construction and by the American Institute of Architects for her outstanding contributions to the rebuilding of the World Trade Center site. She is now serving as mentor for emerging practitioners in her role as Adjunct Professor at Columbia University GSAPP, where she is teaching a seminar on Super Tall building typology.
